Update and work in progress..

So its September & there is definitely an autumn feel in the air!

Still no news on the house which is hugely frustrating!!
We are now up for sale with Andrew Grant at a reduced price:

I am trying to remain positive but this limbo feeling is not easy to live with!! Maple Barn plans are steamrolling ahead with services applied for and quotations for kitchens etc - Im filling a huge scrapbook with ideas!!

in the meantime.....

I have been trying to keep as busy and as creative as possible
I am busy making cushions and bags and im even making my very first patchwork quilt!!
Ive posted a few pics here

These 2 bags are the same pattern; the first is a lovely Ikea graphic print & the second is fabric I have dyed and printed myself..

Linen Cushions are printed using a thermofax screen, then hand embroidered..

This was a piece of silk I had marbled at a previous class & never used! I turned it into a cushion and added some Free Machine Embroidery to it...

The first computer rendering of our house from the plans, we are choosing this colour combination with a slightly lighter charcoal colour cladding..

These next two are showing slate roof and blue brick skirt - the cladding colour is good but over all it has to fit into a nice country lane and we don't want to stand out like a sore thumb!..
We don't have this much land either ( the computer programme was very generous!) there is approximately 1.5 - 2 metres either side which will be enclosed with fencing..
